Paul Szpak

I am a university student interested in all things related to the evolution and diversity of the human species. To understand this diversity, one must consider both the fossil and molecular data. I am also interested in the origins of agriculture, specifically, the genetic and morphological changes that go hand-in-hand with domestication. In addition to this, I am interested in the changing relationships between people and their environment that accompany a transition to agriculture. I have completed a BA in anthropology and am now completing a BSc in biology; both at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. I am currently working in the Stable Isotope Biogeochemistry Lab (SIBL) on a project involving stable isotope analysis of collagen extracted from Siberian mammoth bones.
