Oh my goodness! Unless you are a Tree of Life developer, you really shouldn't be here. This page is part of our beta test site, where we develop new features for the ToL, often messing up a thing or two in the process. Please visit the official version of this page, which is available here.

  4. Funnel
    1. Funnel without lateral adductor muscles.
    2. Presence of funnel valve uncertain. Oval pad present where funnel valve should be.
    3. Funnel component of the funnel/mantle locking-apparatus with simple, straight groove.

  6. Gladius
    1. Gladius not examined.

  7. Pigmentation
    1. Mantle, most of head, aboral surfaces of arms covered with numerous small but non-overlapping reddish-brown chromatophores.
    2. Oral surfaces of arms without chromatophores.
    3. Ventral midline of head without chromatophores.
    4. Chromatophores absent from region of nuchal head/mantle fusion.
    5. Chromatophores present on tentacular clubs and short region proximal to clubs but remainder of club apparently bare.
    6. Funnel without chromatophores.

  8. Viscera
    1. Penis appears to arise from open genital pocket or deep, circular fold in lining of mantle cavity.
    2. Branchial canal in gill apparently absent; gill segment not removed for confirmation.
