The relatively large Scea grandis is rare, and apparently endemic to the Sierra Santa Marta range of northeastern Colombia.Characteristics
This species is similar to other members of the "Thirmida" clade, but exhibits less extensive orange markings on the fore and hindwings. Like other members of the clade, the make has an extremely long vesica with distal spike-like cornuti (Miller, 1009).References
