Introduction
The genus ranges from Costa Rica to the Atlantic coastal forest of Brazil. Nothing is known of its life history (Miller 2009).Characteristics
The genus is diagnosed by characters of the labial palpae, male and female genitalia, and the coloration of the abdominal venter (whitish with a gray-brown stripe along the midline) (Miller 2009).Discussion of Phylogenetic Relationships
Miller (2009) described this genus and assembled its species from a variety of other josiine genera, where they had been incorrectly placed on the basis of convergent wing pattern characters.References
